Dog
Busters
was developed to allow for the selection of longer
priced winners at greyhound races to be integrated with
a staking plan that hopefully will allow for a slow and
steady accumulation of funds - and is still valid in 2010.
It is worthwhile noting that while the accumulation may
be geared to be slow and steady in proportion to the flow
of races,
the huge number of greyhound races every week seems to
accelerate the effect.
One
of the problems with greyhound racing, and, conversely,
one of its greatest attractants, is that there are only
eight starters.
The benefit is obvious – only seven to beat. The downside
is that usually the favourites, dogs that obviously have
the form to win, are over-bet and don’t represent
value. In fact, a great percentage of favourites at all
greyhound venues are odds on. And what did the great Ken
Howard say about odds on? “Don’t bet odds on
– don’t run up stairs”.
Consequently we set about looking for a set of selection
criteria that avoided the odds on pops but was consistent
enough to give us a chance to make a profit with a conservative
progression staking plan. One without the other is pretty
useless – the two have to co-exist in small field
betting ventures!
The advantage is that there IS a lot of “silly money”
floating around in TAB pools across Australia on greyhound
races – people sitting in pubs and clubs with very
little form guide information and a lot of hunches –
a guaranteed recipe for disaster.
The down side of doing the form “properly” on
the greyhounds is that there are so many races every day
– dozens and dozens and dozens, that to do it properly
(e.g. how many hundredths of a second are there in a dog’s
head?) would necessitate a full time approach, which most
of us don’t have.
Now don’t misunderstand this point – there is
NO substitute for substantial form study but we believe
we may have come up with a short cut method which may supply
you with a steady stream of greyhounds with good chances
that will, most times, run good races.
SELECTION PLAN
Dog
Busters is very simple to operate, takes about 5 or 6 minutes
to do a complete greyhound meeting and there is absolutely
no room for error or misinterpretation in the selection
process.
The are only three rules to consider and most dogs can be
eliminated immediately.
You do require a form guide that details at least the last
six runs of every dog. For Victorian greyhounds, which is
the basis for our test workout in January 2007, this form
guide is free by going to http://www.grv.org.au/the_watchdog_index.php
This
is a brief synopsis of that test period (2/1/07 –
29/1/07) result:
Total
qualifying races: 182
Total winners: 33 (17.93%) Average dividend: $5.40
Total places: 80 (43.48%) Average dividend: $2.10
Victorian
winners in January included:
Precious
Brett 6.00
Rich Mahogany 6.10
Crazy Frog 9.10
Dr Falkenhausen 9.40
Expressway 21.90
Remo Shark 2.90
Brindiwilpa 5.80
Fireside Osti 17.50
Swift Tessa 7.70
and many, many others
STAKING PLAN
Our
special staking plan used a starting bank of just $400 on
the Victorian TAB. We believe for this system to work, you
have to use the TAB that is the home State TAB for the races
you are betting on. In other words, if we were doing this
on Queensland or South Australian races we’d use Unitab.
We normally like to bet at level stakes but because this
system lost a tiny amount at level stakes, 3.1 units on
182 bets, we advocate a very mild progression plan which
appears to be quite successful.
This staking plan in detail with full instructions is included
in the package together with the selection method.
Using $1 base units on this staking plan, the balance on
January 29th when we called it quits, was $836 with a final
target amount of $8 (1% of the total bank rounded to the
nearest $100).
The biggest bet in the entire month was $73 which was at
the end of a 23 bet progression sequence. There was another
long sequence of 19, another of 10 and another of 9.
To
move from $400 to $836, we turned over $1,805 in total amounts
wagered. That represents a profit on turnover of just over
24%.
In other words, if your base betting unit is $1 there was
$436 profit in this period of 182 bets in 27 days. If your
betting unit was $10 you would have finished $4,360 in front
over the period. (But you would have needed a starting bank
of $4000!)
Remember, your
betting unit MUST NEVER be an amount that
is “uncomfortable” for you or an amount that
you would be terrified to lose.
FAQ's
Does
it win at level stakes?
No.
A small loss of 3.1 units over the month for win bets and
a larger deficit of 14.1 units if you were place betting.
Did we try it out in States other than Victoria?
No.
Would it work in those States?
Don’t know but can see no valid reason why it
shouldn’t. All you need is a 6 start form guide.
If you follow the rules exactly, you should be able to achieve
what we did in our test results. But bear in mind, there
are NO guarantees that your result will be either better
or worse than ours. It is called gambling for very sound
reasons. Never overlook that fact. Travel
at your own risk.
Once
we have received your order and confirmation of payment,
you will be sent, by e-mail, (generally within a few minutes
- sometimes longer if we are not in the office) a complete
digital copy of the Dog Busters E-Book in .pdf format
which contains the full selection system and staking plan
