If you do ANY form analysis, at any superficial level, you are following a system. If you're not following a system you would literally have to be pulling random numbers out of a hat and betting on those. And it could be argued that that in itself is a system.

Punting on horses and doing NO analysis of "chance" at all, is a recipe for financial disaster. Unnecessarily so.

With all the methodologies we have put together over the years, we have tried to establish which interacting form elements, taken in totality, have the best chance of predicting future events based on past performances. That's all we do. We play with the gamblers' fallacy that fails to realise that each event is independent of every other and therefore no method reliant on past events can in any way properly predict the result of another.

We accept that. We do believe that historical factors/results however can be useful in ruling out a lot of non-chances on "percentages". Anyone who "handicaps" races does exactly the same thing. We sincerely hope that you do the same thing.

If you haven't got the endless hours that we do to investigate these things, we hope you try one of our "systems/methods" or daily ratings.

All of the systems / methods /stuff we've ever played with are available here. They may be of some assistance to you.

There's a lot of information on this site for free about horse racing and racing systems that has been collected and researched over a lot of years (and continues to be). Take what you need. If you find it of use and it makes you a few extra dollars, that's great. If you lose, well, that's on you. Remember this - gambling should always be for fun.

This site was first established in 1999 as a down to earth punters site without all the fake sales hype and pop ups. There are NO promises of "untold wealth from racing systems", "never having to work again", "drive a Porsche or a Rolls Royce", "the secret system the bookies don't want you to know about" or just "sit back and watch the money roll in while the form guide does the work". All that stuff is just BS.

With the advent of apps and computers in to the fields of racing, nearly all of which are weight or class based ratings ideas, we have come to the inevitable conclusion that the "edge" in quality ratings is simply diminishing every week and making it unnecessarily harder to turn a good profit for the hours involved. Speed ratings are the dominant approach in the USA but have always been a “second fiddle” approach in Australia because of some intrinsic difficulties in establishing reliable speed ratings figures.

Anyone who has “had a go” at speed ratings will tell you that one of the major hurdles to overcome is to establish par times for distances at Australian race tracks. Up until now, the way most people have approached this problem has been to use the track record times for individual distances at each major track but they of course make no allowance for track condition.

We have established a data base of par times for nearly every track, distance and track condition in Australia - nearly 200 tracks covered and being added to daily - which, together with a sophisticated "app", is now able to generate speed ratings for just about any TAB covered race meeting.
